Memoirs of the Fist is an independent short film directed by Alvin Yip and shot by Paul Mak. Unlike Jacky Chan's movies, this short film doesn't have many fancy moves and jumps. It's also not violent and bloody but serves up some breath-taking stunt work. Throughout the past 20 years, the main character of this film, Vancouver martial artist, Adam Chan had invented his own style of kung fu based from Jeet Kune Do. All the casts in this short film are his students, except for Paul Mak, who would eventually become one of his student in the future.
